Welcoming Youngjoo to SentiSystems! Towards GNSS-denied navigation for fixed wing long-range drones

Today is an exciting day for all of us at SentiSystems. Vacation is over. And our new hire have started today.

We are delighted to welcome Youngjoo Kim to the team as our new Senior Navigation Engineer. Youngjoo officially started with SentiSystems today and will play an important role in strengthening our capabilities within advanced navigation, sensor fusion, and autonomous systems.

Youngjoo brings an impressive background in aerospace engineering and autonomous technologies. He holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) and has extensive experience developing cutting-edge navigation and autonomy solutions for drones and other autonomous platforms. His career includes roles such as Principal Engineer and Lead Autonomy Scientist, with a strong focus on GNSS-denied navigation, sensor fusion, and real-world deployment of autonomy technologies.

As the need for resilient navigation continues to grow in environments where GNSS signals are degraded, jammed, or unavailable, Youngjoo’s expertise aligns perfectly with SentiSystems’ mission of delivering reliable navigation and situational awareness for autonomous systems operating in contested and challenging environments.
